Well it’s that time of year again. The Christmas holidays are
always a good time to take a break from trading and an even better
time to catch up on some Forex education …
The holiday season is a notoriously bad time to be trading Forex
because there is often a lot of unusual and unstable behavior for a
number of reasons …
1) Long term traders often close out their large positions until
after the holidays
2) Large companies stop making large purchases for operations since
company operations often slow down at this time of year
3) Large companies often make strange unpredictable transactions
due to year end book keeping
4) Most large Banks close for the holidays, or at least certain
days during the holidays. These days can differ greatly from
country to country.
In short, it is NOT business as usual and the markets will not
usually behave as usual either so the risk you take trading during
this time is usually greater than normal and generally not worth it.
As a result I have stopped trading and will resume on January 5th
or 6th. You may want to consider doing the same.
This is especially important for scalping strategies like FAP Turbo
that require a stable sideways trading range during the off hours.
EUR/USD terus melanjutkan penguatannya. Di awal sesi Eropa hari ini, pair tampak berusaha menembus 1,5. Dengan menguatnya ini, maka support dari EUR terus menguat. Jika 1,5 mampu dilewati, maka target selanjutnya adalah titik tertinggi Oktober 2009 di 1,508. (axe)

Bursa saham Asia turun tipis pagi ini. EUR/USD pun terimbas dan mulai bergerak turun. Pair ini menyentuh 1,491 sebelum akhirnya tersupport dan kembali ke 1,496 saat ini. Minat beli dikabarkan menanti di kisaran 1,48 dan akan menjadi support bagi EUR/USD. (tnt)

Harga minyak mungkin naik hingga $ 100 per barrel di dua kuartal berikutnya sebagai akibat melemahkan dolar AS terhadap euro
Deutsche Bank Adam Sieminski ekonom energi mengatakan Jumat.
“Kami berpikir dolar dapat melemah lebih lanjut ke $ 1,60 terhadap euro dan itu berarti mendorong harga minyak yang mengancam tingkat tiga digit,” Sieminski kepada Reuters.
Melemahnya dollar bisa berarti “harga minyak lebih jauh lagi untuk lari,” tapi naik ke $ 100 per barrel bisa melukai pemulihan ekonomi, Deutsche Bank mengatakan dalam sebuah catatan penelitian. “Kami percaya bahwa $ 80 minyak tidak cukup tinggi untuk menggagalkan pemulihan global, tetapi tim ekonomi kita akan mulai mencari secara keseluruhan konsumsi yang lebih rendah pada $ 100 per barrel harga,” . Harga minyak naik ke harga tertinggi selama satu tahun yakni $ 82 awal pekan ini, setelah naik 17 persen sejak 10 Oktober. Kenaikan tersebut bertepatan dengan kenaikan indeks saham global dan pelemahan dolar, yang jatuh ke harga terendah selama 14-bulan yakni di atas $ 1.50 per euro minggu ini

dari market EURUSD, keliatan tetap flat-flat aja, tetapi akan ada banyak sell stop di bawah garis support di 1.46 dan disini akan berlanjut sampai garis resistance di 1.51. Pilihan untuk untuk model ini adalah mirip channel

EUR/USD bertahan pada 1,471. Pair ini sempat untuk turun karena ada aksi jual EUR/JPY. Kisaran garis support EUR/USD berada 1,468. Jika tertembus, maka level 1,465 akan menjadi sasaran, bahkan sebuah bank besar menyatakan bahwa EUR/USD akan bergerak ke 1,46. (AXE)
